Intro to ADULTHOOD

An online course designed to teach young adults practical life skills they didn’t learn in school so they can transition to independent adulthood

Go from dependent adolescent to independent adult with confidence and competence.

Welcome to Intro to Adulthood! An online course designed to teach young people the practical life skills they need to transition from dependent adolescents to independent adults.

This course was created for ALL young people. If you are preparing to launch and live on your own for the first time, this information is ESSENTIAL for your success. We want to help you build a solid foundation for your life so that you feel fully prepared to tackle adulthood!

How does our course work?

Adulthood can feel overwhelming. We help simplify it by breaking it down into three main categories:

  • Learn about budgeting, taxes and more! We’ll provide you with an introduction to personal finance so you can set yourself up for success!

  • Your personal assets require care and maintenance. Learn how to take care of your car and living space properly and easily!

  • Taking care of yourself is the foundation for everything else you do. Managing your fitness, nutrition, self care and time management skills are essential to achieving success as an adult.

Testimonials

  • "I'm excited about this! I can't believe after everything we've been through with [our teen] this course just kind of 'appeared'. It's a wonderful idea and I've been saying our educational system needs to include this stuff for all High School students for years."

    Jenifer C. , Parent

  • "I like how simply it was explained. I feel like when people try to talk to you about financial stuff they expect you to understand all these big terms and ideas and, especially as someone who has no idea how to budget, this class was refreshing."

    High School Junior, Norwalk, CT

  • "My students have been discussing it ever since the presentation. This is a vital experience for every high school and college student in order to be more successful as an adult. I highly recommend this course!"

Melissa O’Donnell, Instructional Lead for Multilingual Learners/World Languages, PPS Instructor

"Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step."
